Introduction

KB Group has been committed to making a positive impact on society through its dedicated trust, Baijnath Bhatter Foundation. The trust undertakes various social welfare programs aimed at improving the lives of the underprivileged, promoting education, supporting health initiatives, and fostering cultural heritage. Below is a detailed report of the social initiatives undertaken by the trust.

 

Major Social Activities and Events

  • Education Support Programs Event 
  • Name: Scholarship Distribution Ceremony Date: EVERY YEAR (STARTED FROM 2010)

  • Description: The trust provided scholarships to underprivileged students from rural areas, enabling them to pursue higher education.

 

Event Name: Book Distribution Drive

Description: Distributed books and stationery to school children in remote villages to support their education. the program has benefited 1400 Students, equipping them with essential reading resources and supporting their educational growth. Schools, libraries and local community organizations actively participate in the program. The initiative is made possible through the cooperation of various education centres local institutions, and donor organizations, ensuring widespread distribution and impact.

 

Event Name: Free Coaching Classes

Description: Organized free coaching sessions for students appearing for board exams, helping them improve their academic performance. Subjects Covered – Core academic subjects (Math, Science, English, etc.), and skill development courses.

Beneficiaries – Over 3000 students have availed the benefits of this program.

2. Healthcare and Blood Donation Programs

 

Event Name: Blood Donation Camp

Description: In collaboration with local hospitals, a blood donation camp was organized, where employees and volunteers donated blood to save lives. The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony attended by [Name of Chief Guest, Authorities, and Special Guests].A brief awareness session was conducted to educate participants about the benefits of blood donation and its impact on saving lives. A total of 3488 individuals availed the free health check-up services. The camp catered to people from diverse backgrounds, including senior citizens, women, children, and labourers.

Event Name: Awareness on Hygiene and Sanitation

Date: 05TH MAY (EVERY YEAR)

 

Description: Educated communities on the importance of hygiene, hand washing, and sanitation to prevent diseases. Participants: Community members, school students, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and local authorities.

Key Activities:

Awareness sessions on personal hygiene, hand washing, and sanitation practices.

Demonstrations   on proper hand-washing techniques.

Distribution of hygiene kits, including soap, sanitizers, and educational pamphlets.

Interactive discussions on preventing diseases like diarrhoea, flu, and infections.

Special focus on menstrual   hygiene awareness for women and adolescent girls.

3. Food and Clothing Donation Programs


Event Name: Food Distribution Drive

Description: Distributed food packets and groceries to homeless individuals and underprivileged families in slum areas.

Beneficiaries: Over 2200 people have availed the benefits of this program.

Participants: The event is supported by local volunteers, non profit organizations, and community groups who contribute their time and effort to ensure smooth distribution.

Cooperation & Support: The program is organized in collaboration with and is conducted under the guidance and support of LOCAL GRAM PANCHAYETS. Their combined efforts ensure transparency, efficiency, and maximum reach.

Event Name: Winter Cloth Distribution

Date: 2ND OCTOBER (EVERY YEAR)

 

Description: Provided warm clothing and blankets to homeless and low-income families to help them cope with the winter season. The program involves the collection of winter garments such as jackets, sweaters, blankets, gloves, and socks. These items are then sorted, packed, and distributed to vulnerable communities, including homeless individuals, low-income families, and those in remote or disaster-affected areas. The program ensures efficient logistics, including identification of beneficiaries, collaboration with local Clubs, and organizing distribution drives at community centres, shelters, and open camps.

5. Awareness and Environmental Programs

6. Event Name: Tree Plantation Drive

7. Date: 05TH JUNE (EVERY YEAR)

8. Description: Planted over 1556 trees in urban and rural areas to contribute to a greener environment. The event was organised with the cooperation and coordination of students, staff and local residence. Trees was Planted in the barren land and roadside area of park.

Total Trees Planted: 1556 individuals

Areas Covered: BANKURA, NORTH 24 PARGANAS, PURULIA

 

Event Name: Women Empowerment Workshop

Date: 08TH MARCH TO 14TH MARCH (EVERY YEAR)

 

Description: The Women Empowerment Event was a transformative initiative designed to uplift, educate, and provide resources to women, fostering self-reliance and leadership. The event featured a series of workshops, mentorship sessions, skill development programs, and awareness campaigns focused on financial independence, entrepreneurship, health, and legal rights.

 

Key Highlights of the Program:


  • Total Beneficiaries: Over 729 women directly benefited from the event.
  • Participants: Included women from various socio-economic backgrounds, aspiring entrepreneurs, working professionals, homemakers, and students.
  • Collaborating Centers & Authorities: The event was successfully conducted with the cooperation of NGOs, local government bodies, or corporate sponsors, ensuring extensive reach and impact.
  • Workshops & Training: Sessions covered areas such as business skills, digital literacy, self-defence training, financial planning, and health awareness.
  • Mentorship & Support: Experts, industry leaders, and motivational speakers provided guidance and inspiration.
